for the character, Greg, and first 10%/last 15% of the book.steam?
a few tingles, but no squirming or fanning as the cover might imply...
Halfway through the book I went from feeling pity for Izzy, to feeling frustrated & protective of her, to finally feeling exasperated with her for acting stupidly stubborn, ignorant and belatedly badass...LOL, seriously, Izzy became QUEEN OF THE FAINT, and that was only halfway through.
For the other half, as the rest of the drama unfolded, I rolled my eyes, yet felt some tingles as the hero and heroine got what they deserved because there were some endearing scenes where the hero, Holt "Axel" Reid, just doted on Izzy, and they were able to heal from the rough hand fate had initially dealt them even though the reason for it, their separation, that is, was nearly laughable or...maybe pathetic(?) IDK which:D [Or maybe, it's just that I really dislike separation plots because the reason for the separation is rarely plausible or sound, IMO]
I can't say that I liked Izzy, but I didn't hate her, either. The voice given to her wasn't as developed, but it could at times be engaging( in the beginning). On the other hand, the development of the hero wasn't enough for me to be won over by his badass-alpha-ness! I mean, he came in like a lion and went out like a lamb, all whipped and cuddly (LOL).
One of the secondary characters, Greg Cage, was beautifully beta, and he had a charm that let him be badass while at the same time able to hang out with the girls and watch a tearjerker. So, I may read the next installments of this series, especially Cage's story. Maybe.

I had to quote ya there, Nhya. LOL
