Climbing Stories

I'd read Wicked Ties, got an okay read but didn't think I'd come back
for more in this series, well...I did, and I liked this story slightly more,
never mind that it is the fourth book and I skipped reading #2 and #3. I like Hunter, yeah, I think that's what did it. He is so alpha, but he's direct about what he wants, and in wanting Kata, he finds that what he wants can be complicated. Kata, on the other hand, got on my nerves. I understood her(because of her mom's relationship with an a**hole),liked that she was sultry Latina with curves and had an interesting day job, but she was a little too wishy washy. Granted Hunter was on her like white on rice, but girl! either stand firm or admit to wanting to explore, and get it all out. Geez!
I suppose this story between Hunter and Kata was better for me because the neurosis of both could be explained with respect to their family history. This wasn't given in as much detail in Jack and Morgan's story. This story had a bit more depth, even though Hunter and Kata excruciatingly got to the point of loving each other.

Funniest in this story was that the menage for the b-day ended up a cross bet between the hangover and cliched wacky night in Vegas (I enjoyed it).
Yet, Hunter, his brother and his dad (all alpha)all were the great sort of intense/protective that made it worth it.
